Interschool Athletics By Ben

                  Interschool Athletics

ON YOUR MARKS, GET SET, BANG!
My heart was pounding, my legs were shaking and randomly cutting through the air like scissors.

But soon the finish line and the exciting feeling of myself winning. My next race was against faster people because this was the semi-finals! Mrs Flower started us off and I won again!

The very last race was the finals and even worse I was up against my own team mate, Matthew Florence, and he’s pretty fast. I finished the race fast but came 2nd to a boy from another school. Matt did well but he didn’t beat me this time.

At the end of a long day of events, I had long jump and didn’t do so good in that. But in the relay, our team, including Shayna Rei, Hayden Lourie, Jessica Brooks, Tineisha McDougall, George Simpson and myself ran really well and we ended up coming 1st = with two other schools.

Overall we had an awesome athletics day and I hope to get to represent us as a year 8 next year at the Interschools.

Hunterville ANZAC Art Awards 2016

Here is a little imovie with the names, placings and photos of the art of the winning and highly commended students from this year's Hunterville School
RSA ANZAC Art competition.
Because the New Zealand Defence Force did not run their usual national competition this year, we decided to hold our own competition, with the assistance of a
guest judge.  The original artworks are on display in the corridors near the school library.

Congratulations to all our student artists, especially Nikita Graham who was placed first,
winning the Hunterville RSA Art Award, (The Shellcase).
