My Sport: Gymnastics By Anna

My Sport: Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a very particular sport, and there are three stages until you get into the real stuff. There is recreational then pre-comp and after that there is competitive which is what I am in. The meanings of these words are recreational-starting, pre-comp-almost competitive, then competitive just means well, competitive.
The main places to do gym is outside in summer, indoor in winter or on a trampoline but first you always have to stretch otherwise you could get very badly injured.
Leotards are often worn for gymnastics and there are all sorts of leotards - short sleeved ones for summer and there are also long sleeved ones.  You can make your own leotards but it is best to by one in a shop if you want it right now.
In competition there are all different apparatuses such as: beam, bar, vault, and floor exercises. If you get to a really high level you get to make up your own display but for now I have to do as the book says.
Remember, always have fun when you are doing gymnastics!

  1. That is really interesting, Anna. I like the good variety of sentences you have used.
Good luck with your competitions this year.

  2. Great story of your gymnastics and it seems that you really love it. I hope you go well in all of your competitions and you carry on doing it. I also love the picture of the cartoon girl doing the splits, it looks just like you. Great information about gym, and you know a lot about it.
