WOW! Our Hunterville year seven and eight EPro8 teams put in a huge effort on Tuesday evening, 2 May, over in Palmerston North at the regional semi-finals.
One team, with Harry, Hine, Zoe and Alec, scored the most points, coming first overall.
The other team, of Alex, Eden, Brooklyn and Euan came in second equal, and both these teams are through to the finals in Palmerston North on the 16th of May.
EPro8 stands for engineer, problem solve and innovate, and at these semi-finals, there were twelve teams from schools all around the Wanganui/Rangitikei/Manawatu region.
The teams work over two and a half hours, designing, problem solving, creating, building, and testing a range of structures with a wide range of real life engineering equipment for each group to use.
Congratulations to these eight students!
And good luck for the finals!
